Meet Our New Girl, Daisy

We are happy to announce the arrival of our new girl named Daisy.  She is a yellow 4 door Altitude edition Wrangler with a 3” lift, 35” TOYO off-road tires, K&N air filter, aftermarket shocks and steering stabilizer with heated leather seats.  We named her Daisy after Daisy Duke from Duke’s of Hazard because she is good looking and wants to play!  Ask for her specifically next time you rent a Jeep from us and take a ride to the high country in style.

We’ve Got the Seats!

We are happy to announce that we are now offering child seat rentals as well.  With a total of three child seats, consisting of two all-in-one or 3-in-1 adjustable seats and an infant seat/carrier.  Rates run at $5 each per day, plus 5-25% off for multiday rentals.  So, if you are traveling with children under 15 years old, leave your bulky seats at home and we’ll have you covered when you arrive.

What Turns a Frown Upside Down? 4’ of Fresh Snow

Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) reported to have received over 4’ of fresh powder snow in the last few weeks.  The skiing and snowboarding has been amazing!  So much we’ve had a customer extend their stay to, what we like calling, slaying the pow.  Aka skiing deep almost bottomless snow.  It’s a sensation that tops them all if you ask me.  So much so the entire valley is buzzing with excitement as the resort opens up new terrain almost daily.

Winter Has Arrived Early

As an avid skier I am always watching out for the snow, but when you live in a ski town the ironic thing is you’d prefer for the 1st snow to wait as long as possible to have a good solid snowpack. But not this year! Old man winter came early dropping 30″ up at Irwin for example. But that’s ok because our Jeeps are ready with clearance and tires which work great in the snow. We have updated our ’23-’24 winter pricing, ranging from $159 to $199 per day. Our 4 doors are particularly popular as they have seat belts for 5 people and a large trunk for luggage. Call today to book your Jeep for this winter.

Fall is Coming!

It’s no secret that the Fall in Crested Butte and Gunnison is absolutely amazing.  We have one of the largest aspen groves in the world, making Jeeping this time of year extra special.  I personally love this time of year, with less traffic on the trails, mountain vistas for days, cooler temps and the diversity of color as we watch the foliage season unfold.  For example, here is a photo shared from a happy customer in early October of last year and just had to share.  Thanks Dustin!

From Visitors to Biologists, We Appreciate Our Happy Customers

Our passion is sharing the beautiful landscapes, trails, views and flowers of the Crested Butte and Gunnison zones.  We love meeting great people, showing them where to go, what trails to hike, where to go fishing and especially getting some nice feedback along the way. We appreciate you!

Here is some feedback from our happy customers from the past month:

“Very friendly! Easy to reserve and pay for over the phone. We look forward to seeing you in September.”

“Craig was great. Listened to what we were interested in and gave us several trail options. Did not disappoint.”

“The owner is an amazing human and so helpful!”

Paradise Divide and Paradise Basin is Open

We’ve got great news to share! Finally, got a chance to post it but I take Maxine out and was blessed by the open access to Paradise Divide, Paradise Basin and access to the West Maroon Bells trial, of course with a lifted Jeep. We’ve been a few weeks behind normal schedule with all the snow we received this winter, however with warmer temperatures the snow is melting away very fast. More trails to open up soon as the creek levels start to lower some more. Plenty of amazing trails, terrain and vistas to enjoy!

Jenny Has Arrived!

We are proud to introduce our newest member of our fleet, Jenny.  She is outfitted with a 2.5” lift, fully articulating suspension made by Bilstein, 33” BF Goodrich T/A all-terrain offroad tires, K&N air filter, etc.  She has the cleanest interior we’ve ever seen and is ready to rock. Ask for her by name when booking your next ride to the high country!

Crested Butte is Open for Business

As of today, May 26th, our Crested Butte location is open for business. We moved last year to the corner of 6th Street and Belleview Ave. next to Ace Hardware at 619 6th Street Crested Butte, CO 81224. We’ve got the maps, specialized Jeeps and local knowledge to provide you with a self-guided Jeep tour of one of the most beautiful places in the world. If you have any questions or would like to reserve a Jeep, please call us at 844-YOU-RENT or (720)-435-6335.

RMBL Releases New Snowmelt Forecast Map

Good news for us all, summer will happen.  It’s no secret that we had one of the best ski seasons in a long time and as the days get longer, we all wonder when will the trails open.  The good news is we had a large wind and sand event, which distributed a large amount of sand on the surface from Utah. Therefore we are expecting to have multiple Jeep trails opening up in June. Luckily for all you fellow weather fans, the Rocky Mountain Biological Lab (RMBL) has released a really cool new map forecasting snowmelt.  You can check it out for yourself here:
