Winter Pricing Has Begun

Winter has started with a bang, with over 3 feet of snow arriving right before opening day.  Now that it’s December, Crested Butte Mountain Resort or CBMR has been opening up multiple lifts, which gains access to many nicely groomed trails.  Our Jeeps are a great option in the winter as they are lifted and have all terrain tires that work very well in the snow.  Our Gunnison location is right across the street from the airport, GUC, making for a convenient and easy process. We are also very competitive with our winter pricing, ranging from $159 to $219 per day plus a 10% discount for weekly rentals.

Welcome Hunters

As the foliage season starts to wind down, we look forward to our hunters returning.  The Fall marks the beginning of hunting season here in the Gunnison County.  We are fortunate to be able to provide our hunters with a reliable off-road option to best get into the backcountry.  Also, with our regular season rates and an additional 20% off for weekly rentals, makes for an affordable and very capable transportation choice.

Fall is Just Around The Corner

As summer fades, we move onto a very special time of year, Fall.  The Crested Butte and Gunnison region is known for having some of the best fall colors in the state.  With aspen trees as for as you can see, we await this magical time.  United airlines will be flying into GUC twice daily from Denver with a third flight on Saturdays until December 2nd.  While JSX will be arriving five times a week until September 30th.  For more info check out GunnisonCrestedButte.com page specifically for the Fall season:

Crested Butte Has the Most Beautiful Flower Field in the U.S.

“Some of the world’s most spectacular flower fields are found in the tiny mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado.  It is perhaps appropriate that the most beautiful flower fields in the U.S. (and the second most beautiful in the world) are located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, where snow tends to linger,” accordingly to Travel + Leisure.

Through out the 9 years of operating our business the amazing beauty found in these fields never gets old.  Even us locals love to get up to the high country and take as many photos as we can.   As natural beauty like this never ceases to amaze us all.

Meet Our New Girl, Daisy

We are happy to announce the arrival of our new girl named Daisy.  She is a yellow 4 door Altitude edition Wrangler with a 3” lift, 35” BF Goodrich T/A all-terrain off-road tires, K&N air filter, Bilstein shocks and steering stabilizer with heated leather seats.  We named her Daisy after Daisy Duke from Duke’s of Hazard because she is good looking and wants to play!  Ask for her specifically next time you rent a Jeep from us and take a ride to the high country in style.

We’ve Got the Seats!

We are happy to announce that we are now offering child seat rentals as well.  With a total of three child seats, consisting of two all-in-one or 3-in-1 adjustable seats and an infant seat/carrier.  Rates run at $5 each per day, plus 5-25% off for multiday rentals.  So, if you are traveling with children under 15 years old, leave your bulky seats at home and we’ll have you covered when you arrive.

What Turns a Frown Upside Down? 4’ of Fresh Snow

Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) reported to have received over 4’ of fresh powder snow in the last few weeks.  The skiing and snowboarding has been amazing!  So much we’ve had a customer extend their stay to, what we like calling, slaying the pow.  Aka skiing deep almost bottomless snow.  It’s a sensation that tops them all if you ask me.  So much so the entire valley is buzzing with excitement as the resort opens up new terrain almost daily.

Winter Has Arrived Early

As an avid skier I am always watching out for the snow, but when you live in a ski town the ironic thing is you’d prefer for the 1st snow to wait as long as possible to have a good solid snowpack. But not this year! Old man winter came early dropping 30″ up at Irwin for example. But that’s ok because our Jeeps are ready with clearance and tires which work great in the snow. We have updated our ’23-’24 winter pricing, ranging from $159 to $199 per day. Our 4 doors are particularly popular as they have seat belts for 5 people and a large trunk for luggage. Call today to book your Jeep for this winter.

Fall is Coming!

It’s no secret that the Fall in Crested Butte and Gunnison is absolutely amazing.  We have one of the largest aspen groves in the world, making Jeeping this time of year extra special.  I personally love this time of year, with less traffic on the trails, mountain vistas for days, cooler temps and the diversity of color as we watch the foliage season unfold.  For example, here is a photo shared from a happy customer in early October of last year and just had to share.  Thanks Dustin!
