Here is a great map I got from the Chamber in Gunnison. It clearly labels all the different camping options in the Gunnison National Forest. With this years change in the rules, dispersed camping is not allowed in much of the surrounding areas, so it makes sense to book your camping spot months in advance. This can be done online with the Gunnison National Forest. Enjoy and please remember, “Camp In and Camp Out.” Meaning whatever you bring into the forest please make sure to bring back out with you.
